Gadchiroli Feb. 16 (District correspondent) The Republican Party is still rooted in the minds of the people at the grassroots level and that this party will grow once again on the strength of such people. This was the hope expressed by the workers of All India Republican Party in a taluka level meet held at Wadsa recently.

The meeting was held in an enthusiastic atmosphere in the presence of Central Vice President of All India Republican Party Rohidas Raut and under the chairmanship of Wadsa Desaiganj Taluka President Shyamrao Walde.

The Republican Party has fought hard for the poor, downtrodden, oppressed, landless people. This party has a long history. The great leaders like Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and Barrister Rajabhau Khobragade are the source of inspiration of this party, said the workers. On this occasion, the workers also expressed their determination that we will do all the work to strengthen this party and let the party regain its past glory.

The district adviser of the party Dr. Haridas Nandeshwar, District General Secretary Pralhad Raipure, Office Secretary Ashok Khobragade, Youth Aghadi President Narendra Raipure, Mahila Aghadi District Vice President Pratima Bodele, senior activist Dadaji Chahande were prominently present as chief guests on this occasion.

In this meeting, the problems of the people of the taluka were discussed in detail along with the party organizations. As the survival of the Dalit backward classes is in danger along with the democracy in the country, it was decided to stand firmly with the progressive forces in the coming elections and it is very necessary to strengthen the Republican Party to solve the problems of the Dalit backward classes, it was decided.

Many women and men activists joined the Republican Party in the gathering. All of them were welcomed with rose flowers. On this occasion, Pramesh Bodele was elected as Wadsa City President and Vipin Ganvir as Taluka Vice President.

Mr. Chintaman Sangode, Shishupal Walde, Pramila Shende, Pramesh Bodele, Uttara Lade, Leelabai Shyamkuvar, Vipin Ganaveer, Vijaya Raut, Yashodhara Meshram, Navin Valde, Anita Borkar and many activists from Wadsa taluka attended the meeting.
