Republican Party is not just a political party, its a mass movement, says Khobragade.

Gadchiroli Sept. 29 (District Correspondent) Republican Party is not just a political party. It’s a mass movement working for the poor and deprived class of society. This movement needs to be strengthened more and that is the need of the hour, said Mr. Praveen alias Balasaheb Khobragade, national president of All India Republican Party.

He was addressing a party workers rally at Press Club here on Wednesday that was organized to mark the Republican Jan Chetna Abhiyan of the party.

Mr. Kulpati Meshram, State Vice President of the party presided over the programme while Mr. Ashok Nimgade, Rohidas Raut, Central Vice Presidents, Rajubhau Khobragade, CEC member, Prin. Prakash Dudhe, Pradesh Vice President, Keshaorao Samrrutwar, Pradesh Secretary, Ms. Surekha Barsagade, Women’s Front State vice President were prominently present.

At the outset, the rally was accorded a grand reception on its arrival in the city and a procession was taken out from Indira Square to Press Club amidst bursting of crackers and shouting slogans as a part of Republican Jan Chetna Abhiyan.

Mr. Khobragade further said that Republican Party has struggled for the backward and neglected people. It has a glorious history in the electoral politics also with many prominent leaders sacrificing their lives for the movement. All the workers should make combined efforts for reaching the party programmes to the comman people, he appealed.

Mr. Nimgade said survival of the Republican Party is must in the present political and social scenario because the party has been formed for the social change besides the political one. This is the only party which can be the real voice of the deprived classes. The comman people have been facing many problems and the Republican Party will continue to raise these problems with the government, he stated.

In his presidential speech Mr. Kulpati Meshram mentioned the Republican Party as the people’s party and called upon the party workers to work hard for bringing back its past glory. This party still has a potential and ability to become main stream political party, he said.

Pradeep Bhaisare, Gadchiroli Assembly chief, Anil Barsagade, city president, Ms. Neeta Sahare, District women’s Front chief, Jyoti Undirwade, General Secretary, Wanmala Zade were also seated on the dais.

Mr. Hansraj Undirwade made an introductory speech, Prin. Rajan Borkar conducted the programme and Tailesh Bambode proposed the vote of thanks. Mr. Krishna Chaudhari, Ashok Khobragade, Narendra Raipure, Hemchandra Sahare, Pralhad Raipure, Sainath Godbole, Vijay Deotale and other workers took pains for the success of the rally.
