Gadchiroli Sept. 30 (District Correspondent) Mr. Ravindra Darekar, General Secretary of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee has been selected for ‘Mahatma Gandhi Manav Sewa award by Manoharbhai Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Armori.
This selection has been made in recognition of the social services rendered by Mr. Darekar. The award will be presented to Mr. Darekar on Oct. 2 next at Mahatma Gandhi Mahavidyalaya, Armori to mark the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.
A resident of Armori, Mr. Darekar has been quite active in social service and politics. Since his young age, he is associated with the congress Party and is known as the senior leader of the party.
