Gadchiroli Nov. 8 (District Correspondent) Nirman, a project being run by well-known NGO SEARCH recently has signed an MoU with the Maharashtra State Faculty Development Agency (MSFDA). Under this Nirman will support MSFDA for training young faculty and students in higher and technical institutions of Maharashtra in the field of ‘Youth Development’.

MSFDA was established in December 2021 in presence of the then Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister to provide training to faculty and students of higher and technical institutions of Maharashtra. MSFDA is the first state institution in the country to be established for the training of professors and teachers as per the recommendations made in the National Education Policy 2020.

According to the discussion between    MSFDA Executive Director Dr. Nipun Vinayak and Nirman’s Director Amrit Bang, various aspects of the National Education Policy 2020 were taken into consideration. Nirman will help MSFDA to provide learning opportunities to the college going youth to make them thoughtful, sensitive citizens and lead a meaningful life.

On this occasion, Nirman’s experience in the field of ‘rich youth development’ will definitely be useful for the development of teachers and students in Maharashtra, it was hoped. Emphasis was given on such multi-faceted development of the youth beyond understanding them as consumers or voters only.

Along with the ongoing MoU between Nirman and ‘Maharashtra University of Health Sciences’ (MUHS), Nirman has been working for the last few years to promote social motivation and meaningfulness in the lives of medical and health science students, mainly in various colleges, institutes affiliated to MUHS.

The MoU with MUHS and MSFDA has widened the working scope of Nirman. Given Nirman’s commitment and expertise in youth development and social sensitivity, as well as MSFDA’s aim to emphasize holistic development of teachers and students, the concept of ‘Youth Development’ will be strengthened and it will definitely help in achieving the objective of ‘Prosperous Youth, Prosperous India’. said Dr. Amrit Bang.
