Multi media photo exhibition inaugurated at Markanda.

Gadchiroli Feb. 18 (District correspondent) A grand multimedia photo exhibition organized jointly by Central Bureau of Communications, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, Regional Office Wardha, District Administration and District Information Office was inaugurated by Gadchiroli Chimur MP Ashok Nete and Gadchiroli MLA Dr. Deorao Holi on Friday.

The topic of the exhibition was Ayushman Bharat, International Year of Nutritious Grains 2023, Eight Years of Government Development, G20 and Amrit Mahotsava on the grounds of Zilla Parishad Higher Primary School premises at Markandadev in Chamorshi Taluka.

Additional SP Kumar Chinta, Sarpanch of Markandadev Sangeeta Mogre, Deputy Director, Mumbai Publications Department, Ramesh Ujgare, District Superintendent Agriculture Officer Basavaraj Mastoli, Tehsildar Sanjay Nagtilak, BDO Sagar Patil, District Information Officer Sachin Adsul, Regional Publicity Officer, Central Bureau of Communications, Wardha Hansraj Raut, Gajanan Bhandekar, Swapnil Warghante, Prakash Gedam were mainly present.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Nete said that the benefit of various schemes of the Government of India should reach the people effectively. The govt. is giving special attention to the backward areas. He appealed to the poor and deprived citizens to take benefit of these schemes. He also called upon the citizens to visit the exhibition in large numbers and know the various schemes of the government

Dr. Holi said that this kind of exhibition by the central government at the place of Markandadev Yatra is quite useful for reaching the information to the public. A lot of awareness needs to be created among the people about Ayushman Yojana, G20 and International Year of Nutritious Grains, he added.

A pictorial exhibition of various development works carried out by the Government of India, various films, information leaflets, information in film format were placed on digital wall, LAD TV in this exhibition. Also of books by Publication Division, Government of India and District Information Office, Gadchiroli were also displayed. Health camp was held for citizens by the Health Department. Various health information stalls, voter awareness, Agriculture Department and Panchayat Samiti, stalls of various government departments including Gharkul Yojana, Integrated Women and Child Development Project etc were also put in the exhibition.

A nutritious food competition was organized for the Anganwadi workers and helpers by  Women and Child Development Department Bal Vikas Project. The winning Anganwadi workers and helpers were felicitated with prizes and certificates.

Various folk arts were presented to the public through Subhedar Ramji Kalapathak for creating awareness regarding the government schemes. The exhibition will be open till 21 February next.
