Gadchiroli April 13 (District Correspondent) The birth anniversary of Mahatma Jyoti Fuley, the great social reformer, was celebrated by various organizations in the district.
At Zilla Parishad hall, a portrait of Mahatma Fuley was garlanded by Mr. Rajendra Bhuyar, Additional CEO of the Zilla Parishad. Mr. R. S. Kanse, Dy. CEO, A. H. Turkar, Executive Engineer, Rural Water supply were prominently present. All the officers also garlanded the portrait of Mahatma Fuley and paid their respects.
Mr. Dhananjay Dumpattiwar, Firoz Lanjewar, Ritesh Wanmali, Suraj Gedam, Girish buddhawar, Mayur Krishnapurkar, Amit Kawdghare and other officials were alos present on the occasion.
Samasta Bahu Uddeshiya Sanstha also organized a programme in its office to pay respects to the departed leader. Adv. Bhawna Lakde, President of the Sanstha garlanded the portrait of Mahatma Fuley and guided the students and citizens on his life. Mr. Praveen Andhare, Mr. Waghmare were prominently present.
Mr. Shreyash Sayam conducted the programme and Praveen Ladwe proposed the vote of thanks. Mayuri Andhare, shital Awahd, Priya Chimurkar and others were also present.
At Samyak Buddha Vihar, Gokulnagar also similar programme was organized under the chairmanship of Mr. Hansraj Undirwade, President of Samyak Samaj Samiti. Mr. Haridas Kotrange of Mali Samaj Sangathana, Tularam Raut of Bhartiya Bouddha Mahasabha were prominently present.
The guests spoke on the life of Mahatma Fuley describing him as the champion of social equality and called upon the people to follow his ideals for the strong society. Mr. Tarkeshwar Ambade conducted the programme and Jagan Jambhulkar proposed the vote of thanks.
At other places also the programmes of Mahatma Fuley birth anniversary were organized.
