Gadchiroli Oct. 26 (District Correspondent) Famous Buddhist writer and Dhamma scholar Prof. Ravi Kamble asserted that love to all and hatred to none is the teaching of Buddha and only by adopting this principle, human life will be happy and prosperous.

He was speaking as the chief guest at Dhamma Chakra Pravartan Din organized by the Samyak Samaj Samiti, Visakha Mahila Mandal and Samyak Jeshta Nagar Sanstha in the premises of Samyak Buddha Vihara in Gokulnagar the other day.

Samata Samiti President Hansraj Undirwade presided over the programme while senior journalist Rohidas Raut, Kavaduji Undirwade of Samyak Sanstha, Anand Vankar, social worker, Sumitra Raut, Manisha Walke of Visakha Mahila Mandal were present as chief guests.

Ashok Vijaya Dashami is celebrated in 150 countries of the world with much enthusism. The philosophy of Buddha spread all over the world and was accepted by people due to its humanitarian qualities and principles useful for the welfare of mankind. Dr. Babaheb Ambedkar gave Dhammadiksha to lakhs of followers in Nagpur in 1956 that too on Vijaya Dashami. He also said that it is everyone’s duty to preach and spread the Dhamma.

On this occasion, Rohidas Raut said that the life of the Buddhists has alarmingly changed in a short span of time due to the practice of Dhamma and said that if this Dhamma is brought to more people, it will benefit the entire human race.

On this occasion, Mr. Haridas Kotarange, a senior activist of the Mali community of Gokualnagar, was felicitated along with his wife for his social contribution. Mr. Pradeep Bhaisare gave introduction, Jagan Jambhulkar moderated the programme and Narendra Undirwade gave vote of thanks. Buddhist community members and citizens attended the program in large numbers.
