Gadchiroli June 8 (District Correspondent) A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been signed between National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI) Nagpur and the Gondwana University for a joint educational and research projects on environmental protection.
Keeping in view the research attitude of the students and promoting research facilities to the students of the university and affiliated colleges, and developing the vision that the knowledge of the scientists should be used for the overall development of the students in the Gadchiroli district, this MOU was signed.
The said MOU was signed in a lecture organized on the occasion of World Environment Day at NEERI, Nagpur. Vice-Chancellor of Gondwana University as Prashant Bokare was the keynote speaker.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Bokare said that it is the duty of all of us to keep the environment and eco-system in order for the future of the coming generations and everyone should be aware of the environment. There is an urgent need to ensure that natural resources are not depleted.
Director of NEERI Dr. Atul Vaidya, Chief Scientist Dr. Nitin Labshetwar, Dr. M.P. Patil, Principal Scientist Dr. Lal Singh, Prakash Kumbhare, Member of the Management Council of Gondwana University Swapnil Dantulwar, Assistant Professor Dr. Prashant Thakre, Dr. Nandkishore Meshram were mainly present.
