GDCC Bank marching towards Rs. 4,000 crore business- Prancheet Poreddiwar.

Gadchiroli Nov. 11 (District Correspondent) Facing several odds, the Gadchiroli District Central Cooperative Bank (GDCCB) is marching towards the business of Rs. 4,000 crores with several modern facilities being provided to its consumers and has become one of the most successful banks in the state.

This was informed by Mr. Prancheet Poreddiwar, Chairman of the bank in a press conference held in the bank meeting hall here the other day.

This bank, which has already won various prestigious state and national awards in banking and technology sectors, has once again bagged the most prestigious ‘Information Technology’ award of the Banking Frontiers that was presented to it in a national cooperative banking summit that was held at Indore recently, told Mr. Poreddiwar.

The GDCCB has presently 55 branches and 44 ATM canters through which it is providing services to as many as 4.64 lakhs of consumers. As on Sept. 30, 2022, the bank has deposits of Rs. 2112 crores and advances of Rs. 1059 crores. It has earned a total profit of Rs. 26.71 crores in the year 2022 and its net NPA is 0 percent, it was told by Mr. Poreddiwar.

The GDCCB has given important contribution in transferring the funds under were transferred to 73609 farmers. The Home Minister Amith Shah has taken cognizance of the mahua laddu business being done by Adarsha Mahila Bachat Gat, Dhanora affiliated to the bank. The bank has distributed rupe kcc and rupe debit cards to 53,000 farmers in the district, it distributed a crop loan of Rs. 87 crores to 20,600 farmers in the year 2022-23, it has started Mahila Samruddhi Yojna under which accounts of 123900 women have been opened with Rs. 159 crores deposits.

The bank has been giving the benefit of individual life insurance worth Rs. 40 lakhs to the employees since 2017. It has also been giving information of various state and central government schemes to the farmers and other citizens.

Under Mahatma Phuley Shetkari Karjamukti Yojna, the bank has given the benefit of Rs. 29.48 crores to 9750 farmers, it was further told by Mr. Poreddiwar.

The bank has so far won many prizes and awards. It has been honoured by the state government under Maharashtra state rural Livelihood Mission, Banko Blu ribbon award, NABARD’s state level award etc. It is the first cooperative bank in the state which provided RTGS and NEFT facilities and also DBT benefits to its consumers. As many as 12,500 account holders have been availing the mobile banking facility of the bank. It has also started UPI system under which at least 10,000 consumers having been taking benefit per day. The bank has also provided QR code facility since 2021 for digital transactions of the consumers.

Mr. Poreddiwar expressed the confidence that the bank will march with the same speed and will work for making it as the most leading bank in the country. Also present at the press conference were Dr. Balwant Lakde,senior Director, Mr. Anant Salwe, Honarary Secretary  of the bank, Mr. Satish Ayalwar, CEO, Mr. T. W. Bhurse, General Managaer (Admn.), Alampatlawar, GM (Accounts) and others.
