Gadchiroli May 2 (District Correspondent) ‘The coming time is going to be amazing and unbelievable for the people of Gadchiroli. The coming generation will stand with the new and sustainable economy of the district. Everyone wants development. The dynamic development has just started with different schemes, initiatives, new industries. It is for the people to come forward and support the process positively and the future will be yours’.
This was stated by District Collector Sanjay Meena while addressing the Maharashtra din programme here on Monday.
He further said that the perception of the world towards Gadchiroli will definitely change in the coming times and administration and the government is working in that direction. The citizens should also work in that direction, he added. Gadchiroli
At the outset, national flag was hoisted at the hands of the collector. The program was attended by Superintendent of Police Nilotpal, Additional SP Anuj Tare, Kumar Chinta, heads of all departments, employees, citizens, students.
‘Shaskiy Yojnanchi Jatra’ campaign was organized in the district in order to give the benefit of the government’s public welfare schemes to the people. The campaign was successfully implemented in various talukas at 26 places in Gadchiroli district. In this, a total of 2,23,930 beneficiaries were distributed benefits under different schemes, told the collector.
The land acquisition process of the Gondwana University has been restarted after ten years. Rs. 1 .96 crores have been sanctioned for speeding up the Wadsa- Gadchiroli new railway line and 50 percent financial share of the state government was approved in the cabinet meeting, he added. As many as 544 mobile towers are being erected in remote areas in the district for connectivity.
The ambitious Jal Jeevan Mission program is being implemented in the district. Under Har Ghar Jal, 2.41 lakh taps are to be connected in a total of 2049 villages. By the end of April 2023, 1.64 lakh tap connections have been completed.
Dadalora Khidki programmeis being organized by the police department to reach various schemes to the people in remote areas. 300 Apada Mitras have been trained under Disaster Management.
Other innovative initiatives like Disha, Phulora, Model School, Muskan, Alpha Academy also are helping the people. To provide high quality vocational training to the educated unemployed youth of the district Project Udan has started from March. Till now 32 reading rooms have been started in the district under this initiative.
In the year 2047, the country is completing hundred years of independence. Developed India is the resolution of the government. The economy of the country is 5 trillion and efforts are being made to take the economy of the state to 1 trillion, said Mr. Meena.
