Friendly cricket match played between Revenue and Police departmets.

Gadchiroli nov. 14 (District correspondent) With the initiative of the District Collector Sanjay Meena and Superintendent of Police Neelotpal, a friendly cricket match was organized between Gadchiroli Revenue Department and Gadchiroli Police Department on the ground of Police Headquarters here the other day.

To make the said cricket match transparent, the coaches and umpires working at the VCA ground in Nagpur were specially called. Gadchiroli police department captain Neelotpal decided to bowl first. In the said match, Mr. Sanjay Meena was the captain of the Revenue Department. In the batting done by Gaurav Nahvrite who scored 56 runs, a total of 104 runs were completed by the Revenue team in 15 overs.

After this, while chasing the 105 runs required to win, Police Department team including Mayur Bhujbal, Kundan Gawde and Kishore Shinde won the match 14th over on the strength of batting.

The ‘man of the match’ award was declared to Mr. Gaurav Nahvrite, The award was presented by the Superintendent of Police. After this, all the players of the winning and runner-up teams were given medals and certificates and the cup was distributed at the hands of the dignitaries. Snacks, tea and food were arranged for the attendees during the said match.

District Collector Sanjay Meena, Superintendent of Police Nilotpal, Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration) Kumar Chinta, Yatish Deshmukh, Deputy Collector Mr. Dhanaji Patil, Resident Deputy Collector Sunil Suryavanshi, Sub Divisional Police Officer Mayur Bhujbal, Sahil Zarkar, Vivek Salunkhe, Chief Officer of Municipal council Suryakant Pidurkar, Taluka Sports Officer Bhaskar Ghatale, VCA Empire Ashish Bawankule,  Coaches  Prashant Bhupal and Sachin Madavi were prominently present on the occasion.

For the development of Gadchiroli District, Revenue Department as well as Police Department are performing their duties in Maoist affected remote areas. For this, a friendly cricket match was organized to bring more coordination between the two departments, said Mr. Sanjay Meena. He congratulated the winning team and the other players.
