Gadchiroli Nov. 15 (District Correspondent) Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde  visited Police Station Pipli Burgi, a remote place in the district today.  During this visit, the newly established building of the Police Station was inaugurated by the Chief Minister. He also attended the public awareness rally at Pipli Burgi and celebrated Diwali with the policemen, tribal brothers as well as female police officers and local women.

A Bhumi Pujan of the new administrative building at Pipli Burgi, Police Constable Barracks and Officer Rest House was also performed. After inspecting the working of the entire police station, dhotis, sarees, mosquito nets, blankets, spray-pumps, fast food kits, papad kits and other essential goods and materials were distributed to the citizens attending the rally. Also, he celebrated Diwali with tribals and policemen working in Maoist remote areas by distributing materials such as bicycles, notebooks, compass boxes, biscuit pockets, chocolates, volleyball nets and balls, cricket materials etc. to the school students.

The Chief Minister reviewed the performance of Gadchiroli Police Force and wished them for their excellent performance. He praised the Gadchiroli Police Force by saying that the Special Mission Team here is a very capable. Many social activities are implemented through Dadalora Khidki of Gadchiroli Police Force. This is helping the development of tribals in the district, he pointed out.

Development of Gadchiroli is the focus of the government, new industries are now coming to Gadchiroli, Shinde said. He also said that the school students who got bicycles should study further and develop themselves. On this occasion, around 600 citizens of Pipli Burgi area were present

Deputy Inspector General of Police Gadchiroli Sandeep Patil, District Collector Sanjay Meena, Superintendent of Police Neelotpal, Assistant Collector Vaibhav Waghmare, Central Reserve Force 192 Battalion Commandant Parvinder Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police (Campaign) Anuj Tare, Sub Divisional Police Officer, Etapalli Sudarshan Rathore were also present on the occasion. Mr. Shivraj Lokhande Incharge of Public Relations conducted the programme and Mr. Anuj Tare, Additional SP proposed the vote of thanks.
