Gadchiroli Feb. 18 (District Correspondent) A free health check-up camp was organized by the Gadchiroli Police Force at the newly constructed Police Assistance Centre Binagunda in association with Police Hospital, District Hospital, Zilla Parishad Gadchiroli and CRPF recently.
The said health camp was organized for creating awareness about health facilities among the citizens of remote areas and providing various health check-ups and medicines to the citizens.
In this camp, District Surgeon Dr. Varsha Lahade, Medical Superintendent of Women and Children’s Hospital, Dr. Madhuri Kilnake, Dr. Prashant Pendam Chief Medical Officer of Police Hospital, Dr. Sunil Madavi, Dr. Ganesh Chichghare and 09 Batt. CRPF Medical Officer Dr. D. S. Mohan led the health check-up of the citizens.
More than 250 citizens of the area were examined for various diseases and free medicines were provided to them as per the requirement and guidance was given on various diseases and nutritional problems. A total of 14 citizens were recommended for further examination at various hospitals. Also, school students were examined by paediatricians and pregnant mothers and other women were examined by gynaecologists and necessary guidance was given.
From 2021, a total of 40,015 citizens have been examined through a total of 178 health gatherings by the Gadchiroli Police Force. Also, a total of 4,361 units of blood have been collected through a total of 5 blood donation camps. Along with this, more than 9,971 citizens have been examined through Operation Roshni and a total of 1,412 citizens have undergone free cataract surgery.
The camp was organized under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Mr. Nilotpal, Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Mr. Suhas Gade, Commandant CRPF 09 Bt. Mr. Shambhu Kumar, Additional SP (Operations) M. Ramesh, Additional SP Aheri, Kartik Madheera, Additional SP (Administration) Gokul Raj G., DySP (Operations) Vishal Nagargoje and In-charge SDPO, Bhamragad, Ajay Kokate, by the newly constructed Police Assistance Centre Binagunda, the Rohan Shirsat, Mr. Sagar More, Mr. Shubham Bhagat.
