Ambrishrao Maharaj assures villagers to pursue their problems.

Gadchiroli Feb. 18 (District Correspondent) In the backdrop of the proposed iron ore mine coming up in village Pipli-Burgi in Etapalli taluka, a meeting of the villagers was held in presence of former Minister of State, Raje Ambrishrao Atram, at Rukhmini Mahal in Aheri the other day.

The problems of villages in the area were discussed in detail in this meeting.  Mr. Atram then personally visited the village and interacted with the villagers. The villagers of Pipli, Jeweli, Kundam, Jijawandi, Burgi, Vedmagad, Ganapahadi, Nainwadi and Tola, affected by the new company, demanded fair compensation for the farmers and preferential employment opportunities for local youth in suitable positions. Apart from this, the citizens also narrated their problems to Mr. Atram regarding roads, education and health facilities etc urging him to look into the matter.

Mr. Atram listened to all the problems and difficulties of the villagers calmly and assured that he will always stand with them. You are the real owners of water, forest, land, he asserted. Also, he assured them to take up the problems with the mining company and the administration.

The meeting was attended by prominent citizens of the affected villages as well as youth leaders Kumar Awadheshrao Baba Atram, BJP office bearers and activists.
