Gadchiroli Aug. 23 (District Correspondent) A grand football tournament was organized at village Bhawanipur in Mulchera taluka in the memory of late Mr. Jagdish Dhali recently. Such tournaments are organized every year in this village in which the contestants participate in large numbers with great enthusiasm.

The tournament was inaugurated at the hands of former guardian minister Raje Ambrishrao Atram. Youth leader Mr. Awadheshbaba Atram, Former Zilla Parishad President Prashant Kuttarmare, Former Panchayat Samiti Member Subhash Ganpati, District Secretary of BJP Badal Shah, Aheri Taluka President Ravi Nelkundri, Mulchera Taluka President Prakash Dutta, General Secretary Nikhil Haldar, Yuva Morcha President Sanjeev Sarkar were prominently present.

Speaking on the occasion Raje Ambrishrao congratulated the organizers for arranging this tournament. Such tournaments help the youths to develop their skill and personality at the higher level. He appealed the youths to participate in such tournaments spontaneously and shine the name of the district.

The winners and runners-up were awarded trophies at the hands of Raje Ambrishrao Atram. The first prize of Rs. 25000 was won by the Devnagar team while the second prize of Rs. 15000/- was won by the winner of Bhawanipur.

Also present on the occasion were councillors Dilip Atram, Kishore Mallik, Ganesh Garghate, Akshay Choudhary, Gulshan Malempalli, Pawan Atram, Uttam Sharma as well as villagers and football players in large numbers.
