Gadchiroli Aug. 23 (District Correspondent) ‘Clean 101’, the floor cleaning liquid produced by the surrendered women naxals has got a market in the district and the product has now been made available for sale in the Reliance Mart of the city.
The vehicle of the first order of this product which includes two varieties –white floor cleaner and neem floor cleaner, was flagged off by Mr. Ankit Goyal, SP and Sameer Sheikh, Additional SP today. Mr. Gangadhar Dhage, Incharge of Surrender Branch and the women members of Navjeevan Group were specially present on the occasion.
The Superintendent of Police Ankit Goyal along with Additional SPs Sameer Sheikh, Somay Mundhe and Anuj Tare had started various self employment activities for the surrendered naxals to make them economically self reliant. Accordingly a group of 10 surrendered women naxals were sent for the training of making floor cleaner to Wardha based institute M Giri few days back.
These women completed their training successfully and formed their group. The women then started the production of the liquid and branded it with the name Clean 101. The police department has been trying to make the market available for this product.
There was a great demand from various institutes in the district like schools, police canteen, hospitals etc and also from the Agriculture University of Akola. Considering this demand, the product was made available at the reputed market firm Reliance Mart.
The police department has appealed the citizens to purchase this product and help the women in raising their financial status. The Gadchiroli Police is committed to the welfare and progress of the surrendered naxalites, said Mr. Goyal. This activity will certainly help the surrendered naxals to become financially self reliant, he hoped. He also appealed the naxals to abandon the naxal fold and surrender to live a dignified life.
