Gadchiroli March 6 (District Correspondent) Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Doctors Cell Secretary Dr. Prmod Salwe has demanded ED enquiry against retired police officers Vinod Patole and Damdeo Mandalwar.

Addressing a press conference at the Press club here on Sunday Dr. Salwe told that the two retired police officers have accumulated huge wealth disproportionate to their known source of income. They have started many businesses like real estate, liquor sale etc from the money grabbed during their service. All their businesses need to be enquired through an agency like Enforcement Directorate (ED), and stringent punishment be given to them, he demanded.

Both Mr. Patole and Mandalwar tried to kidnap me on March 3 last by stopping my car near village Bodli when I was heading towards Gadchiroli from Chatgao. The twosome also gave me filthy abuses and threatened to kill me, he added.

I have already lodged a complaint in this regard with the Gadchiroli Police Station and due action is awaited against them, told Dr. Salwe further. Mr. Patole also wanted to grab my sister’s Rice Mill by way of using force and political pressure as he is the brother of Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole, he added.

An impartial enquiry into the illegal businesses should be conducted through ED, demanded Dr. Salwe. Also present at the press conference were Mr. anil Meshram, Chairman of Dispute Free Committee, Narayanrao Sayam, ex Sarpanch, Sankesh mohurle, Akshya Randiwe, Sushil Gandate.
