Gadchiroli July 4 (District Correspondent) Akhil Bhartiya Republican Paksh has demanded that the Gondwana University of Gadchiroli be declared as National Tribal University and the students be provided necessary academic facilities accordingly.

A resolution in this regard was unanimously passed in the district executive meeting of the party that was held at Chandekar Bhavan here on Monday.

Diustrict President of the Party Hansraj Undirwade presided over this meeting while Central vice President Rohidas Raut,  Vidarbha Vice President Prin. Prakash Dudhe, Regional Secretary Keshaorao Samrutwar, District Advisor Dr. Haridas Nandeshwar, Gadchiroli Assembly chief Pradeep Bhaisare, District General Secretary Pralhad Raipure,  Office Secretary Ashok Khobragade, District Organiser Hemchandra Sahare, District Vice President Tailesh Bambode, City President Anil Barsagade, Womens Front Chief Neeta Sahare, Youth Front Chief Narendra Raipure, senior workers Vishalsingh Parihar,  Vijay Deotale were prominently present.

The President of India as well as the Governor of Maharashtra and Chancellor of Universities are coming to Gadchiroli along with other dignitaries of the central and the state government and on this occasion the University be declared as the National Tribal university, demanded the resolution.

The University should become the national level study and research centre where researchers and students from all over the country and other countries too will come, said the resolution further.

Various other important issues were raised in the meeting. They included Ashti-Sironcha road be repaired soon, election to the local bodies be held soon and democratic process be restored, evm machines should be banned and elections be held on ballot papers, all the school buses be started, all the vacant posts in the district be filled in, long pending Wadsa-Gadchiroli railway line be laid soon, underground drainage scheme of Gadchiroli be completed and started soon etc.

The workers decided to launch an agitation if these demands are not fulfilled soon. Also present in the meeting were Hemaji Sahare, Dadaji Dhakde, Chandrabhan Raut, Sudesh Zade, Ghanshyam Jakkulwar, Narendra Undirwade, Naresh Walke, Sukhdeo Bawne, Dr. Manoj Alam, Umesh Dhok, Arun Bhaisare, Roshan Karande, Lalita Harshe, Geeta kodap, Kavita Dhok, Sukhdeo Mankar and many others.
