Gadchiroli March 18 (District Correspondent) Under the initiative “Ghar Ghar Sanvidhan Abhiyan” organized by the Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance, Government of Maharashtra, a grand cultural festival has been organized on March 21 next at Sanvidhan Chowk of the city.
Dr. Aniruddha Wankar, well known artist and President of Lokjagruti Natya Sanstha in a press conference here this afternoon.
The programme is being organized to celebrate 75 th anniversary of the Constitution of India and 100 years of the historic Mahad Chavdar Lake Satyagraha.
In this special program, well-known actor, singer, producer, director and popular artist from the Ambedkarite movement, Dr. Aniruddha Wankar, will lead a team of 15 artists who will present a grand cultural performance.
Special presentations such as “Shivraya Te Bhimraya” and “Buddha-Bhim Geetacha Jalsa” will be performed. Through these programs, efforts will be made to spread the ideas of the Constitution, equality, and social justice among the people.
Well-known artists Dr. Komal Dhande, Neha Gade from Mumbai and Dhamma Tingote from Latur, will also perform in the festival. All these artists are working through the Lokjagruti Natya Kala Sanstha to create social awareness and are presenting this program free of cost, even in the remote areas of Gadchiroli.
MP Namdev Kirsan, Gadchiroli MLA Dr. Milind Narote, Municipal President Pranoti Nimbalkar, Yogendra Shende, Assistant Commissioner, Skill Development Department, Dr. Anil Hirekhan of Gondwana University, Rohidas Raut, senior journalist, Kishorbhau Wadettiwar, Ram Meshram, Assistant Commissioner of the Social Justice Department Mr. Sachin Madavi will be the chief guests.
Dr. Aniruddha Wankar said during a press interaction that this program is an important effort to spread awareness among the public about the Indian Constitution and the historic struggle for equality at Mahad’s Chavdar Lake.
Dr. Aniruddha Wankar has appealed the citizens to attend the program in large numbers. Mr. Ankush Shedmake and Sudhir Jambhulkar were also present at the press conference.
