Gadchiroli Dec. 19 (District Correspondent) ‘The Constitution of India is a great creation. It’s an epic which was created after the prolonged deliberations and discussions by the experts of the Constituent Assembly. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar has a great contribution in the drafting of the constitution. This constitution has the capacity of making India a super power’.

This was stated by Mr. E. Z. Khobragade, founder President of Sanvidhan Foundation and retired IAS officer while speaking at ‘Sanvidhan Sahitya Sammelan’ that was held at the auditorium of the DCC Bank here the other day.

The Sammelan was inaugurated at the hands of Mr. Prancheet Poreddiwar, Chairman of the DCC Bank. Ms. Rekhatai Khobragade, Deepak Niranjan from Nagpur, Rohidas Raut, journalist, Gautam Meshram, Dewanand Fulzele of the Sanvidhan Foundation were prominently present as the chief guests.

Mr. Khobragade further said the Constitution is a social document. It gives empowerment and strength to comman people to live with dignity. The first three words in its preamble ‘We the People’ resembles the real strength and sovereignty of the people of the country. This document needs to be reached to the masses and the 75 th anniversary should be celebrated throughout the country, he stated.

Mr. Poreddiwar said the Constitution of India is so meaningful that it has given India’s identity to the entire world. It has done the great task of keeping the people of different faiths, regions and languages united. India has remained stable despite various difficulties only because of the constitution and this great task has been done by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar who always stressed for the social equality.

The other guests also expressed their views on the importance of the constitution of India and stressed the need of its propagation. Mr. Gautam Meshram, Convenor of the Sanvidhan Foundation made an introductory speech and gave the details of the Sammelan. Mr. Tularam Raut conducted the proceedings and Dewanand Fulzele proposed the vote of thanks.

The symposiums were also organized during the Sammelan which were presided over by Dr. Narendra Arekar. Dr. suresh Dohne spoke on ‘Constitutional morality in administration’, Dr. Dilip Barsagade spoke on ‘We the People of India’, Adv. Ashwini Uike on ‘Constitutional rights of the tribals’. Mr. Vilas Nimborkar conducted the programme and Bandubhau Khobragade proposed the vote of thanks.

 

A ‘Kavi Sammelan’ was held under the chairmanship of Ms. Kusum Alam in which Jitendra Raipure, Shriniwas Gedam, Laxman Ratnam, Amarkumar Khandare, Anand Alone, Siddharth Gowardhan and others presented theoir poems on the constitution.

The solo play ‘Mi Sanvidhan Boltoy’ was presented by Mr. Laxman Ratnam. Prof. Gautam Dange, Sadanand Taram, Dilip Meshram, Anjum sheikh, Jayant Meshram, Pushpa Mankar, Sujata Meshram, Abdul Sheikh, Dr. Rani Meshram and others took pains for the success of the Sammelan which was attended by large number of people.
