Gadchiroli Sept. 7 (City Reporter) Krantiveer Narayan Singh Uike Vikas Samiti, Jangoritad Tribal Women’s Association and Jan Adhikar Manch have jointly organized a charity show of Marathi drama ‘Krantisurya Veer Baburao Shedmake’ on the grounds of Shivaji Mahavidyalaya here on Sept. 16 next to raise the funds for the students of Manipur.
This was informed by Ms. Kusum Alam, Chief Convenor of the show. Several students from Manipur state have been displaced due to ongoing violence and riots and the education of these students has been badly suffered. To help these students with some financial assistance so that they could continue their studies in other Universities and institutes, this show has been organized. The amount so collected will soon be sent to the needy students, she told.
Many socially sensitive activists and social organizations across the country, who have a humanitarian view, have started efforts to ensure that the students who are victims of the violence of Manipur do not lose their education. We are also making some efforts for their admission. This charity show has been organized to provide accommodation, food and educational facilities to those who have become destitute, Alam informed.
The show will be inaugurated at the hands of Mr. Vijay Wadettiwar, Leader of Opposition in the state Assembly. Mr. Shivajirao Moghe, former Minister will preside over while Mr. Marotrao Kowase, former MP, Abhijeet Wanjari, MLC, Dr. Namdeo Usendi, ex MLA, Dr. Namdeo Kirsan, General Secretary of MPCC, Atul Ganyarpawar, district President of NCP, Prancheet Poreddiwar, Chairman of DCC Bank, Suresh Poreddiwar, ex municipal chief Anil Patil Mashakhetri, President of Shivaji Shikshan Sanstha will be the chief guests.
Dr. Chetan Kowe and Dr. Bhawna Atram will be felicitated in the programme for their valuable social services in this programme.
Mr. Bhashkar Raut is the producer and writer while Raj bobate is the director of this historical drama.
