Bouddha Mahasabha holds camp on superstition eradication.

Gadchiroli Sept. 20 (District Correspondent) Buddhist Society of India (BSI) city unit had organized a lecture and demonstrations on superstition at Amrapali Buddha Vihar Phule Ward the other day as a part of its ‘Varshavaas’ ceremony with the help of Andhashashraddha Nirmulan Samiti.

Mr. Yashwant Vanjare, President of Bouddha Samaj Mandal presided over the programme while District President of the BSI Mr. Tularam Raut, Treasurer Moreshwar Ambade, Maharashtra Co-ordinator of Scientific Awareness Education Project Vilas Nimborkar were prominently present.

Mr. Nimborkar gave lecture on superstition and explained how Babas cheat the innocent people in the name of miracles and garb of religion.  He also showed several demonstrations about elimination of superstitions to prove his point. Everything that happens is based on science and nothing else. That was what told by the lord Buddha himself during his sermons, he pointed out.

The other guests also spoke on the occasion and asked the people to beware of the bogus Babas who exploit the people to gain money.

Mr. Lahu Ramteke conducted the programme and also proposed the vote of thanks. A large number of people attended the programme.
