Gadchiroli Dec. 2 (District Correspondent) ‘BJP’s promise to increase the price of agricultural products and double the income of farmers has miserably failed. On the contrary, inflation and unemployment increased on a large scale. The BJP government has virtually cheated the people by giving false promises and then systematically forgetting them’.
This was stated by Dr. Namdev Kirsan, Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary while inaugurating a drama show at village Bodadha Chak in Armori taluka recently.
Former MLA and State President of Tribal Congress, Dr. Namdev Usendi presided over the programme while Taluka Congress President Milind Khobragade, Congress leader Bhupeshji Kolte, Sarpanch Dambaji Hulke were prominently present as the chief guests.
Dr. Kirsan lashed out at the BJP government at the Centre for rising inflation, unemployment and social polarization and called upon the people to throw the BJP out of power in the coming elections. Congress Party has always been working for the poor and comman people and it has started many welfare schemes for them, he recalled.
Dr. Usendi in his speech said the BJP leaders have been misleading the people and dividing them on the lines of religion and caste which is not at all good for the country. Comman people and farmers are suffering a lot due to wrong policies of the government, he mentioned.
Mr. Ramesh Kolte, Suresh Khewle, Arvind Phatale, Javed Khan Pathan, Arif Bhai Sheikh, Pramodji Bhoyer, P.O. Shankarji Jawade, Anup Kohle, former Sarpanch Kolte Tai, Archanatai Janganwar were also present on the occasion. and a large number of spectators attended the programme.
