Gadchiroli Jan. 25 (District Correspondent) The Gadchiroli branch of Axis Bank has given a helping hand to the families of the police officials.

Citizens know that a bank is a system that takes care of customers’ money or gives loans to them. However, going one step further, Axis Bank has set a new ideal of providing financial support to the families of its account holders.

On 28/06/2023 Abdul Waheed Abdul Hameed Shaikh, a working employee of Gadchiroli Police Force passed away due to prolonged illness due to which his family was in great distress. Recognizing this problem, Axis Bank extended a hand of help to his wife Ms. Shagufta Abdul Waheed Sheikh in the form of financial assistance.

A cheque of Rs. 10 lakhs was handed over to Ms. Shagufta Sheikh at the hands of Mr. Sandeep Patil, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Gadchiroli Range on Thursday.

Earlier on 01 July 2023, Roshan Hari Raut, a working employee of Gadchiroli Police Force had died of cancer. Ms. Usha Hari Raut, mother of the deceased Roshan Hari Raut was also given cheque of Rs 10 lakh at the hands of Superintendent of Police Mr. Nilotpal.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration) Kumar Chinta, Additional Superintendent of Police (Campaign) Yatish Deshmukh, Axis Bank Branch Manager, Rakesh Vallawar and Dy. Branch Manager Murlidhar Naitam were also present on the occasion.
