Gadchiroli Dec. 15 (District Correspondent) ‘Andhashraddha Nirmulan Patrika’, the annual special issue of Maharashtra Andhasraddha Nirmulan Samiti (MANS) was released in a programme held at Parishram Bhavan here the other day.
Dr. Shivnath Kumbhare, Senior Advisor of MANS and President of Gurudev Seva Mandal presided over the programme while Mr. Rohidas Raut, journalist, Pandit Pudke, social worker, Devaji Sontakke, Secretary of Senior Citizens Association, Dr. Chandrakant Lengure, President of Zadiboli Sahita Mandal, Bharat Yerme of Adiwasi employees Federation, Shabbir Shaikh, City President of MANS were prominently present.
Mr. Raut while expressing his opinion about the magazine said that the concept of Indianness is presented through this magazine by various renowned authors and intellectuals which has made the issue more readable. The MANS has been doing the important work of removing superstitions from the society and create a society based on scientific approach, which is really great, he stated adding that the government should provide financial assistance to this organization for carrying out its activities more effectively.
Dr. Shivnath Kumbhare, in his presidential address praised the magazine saying the thought-provoking articles have been included in it that will give new direction to the readers. He appreciated the workers of MANS for their selfless work in Gadchiroli district appealing them to carry on the work.
Other dignitaries also extended their best wishes to the annual special issue and appealed to the citizens to read and comment on the articles.
Introductory remarks were made by the State Co-ordinator Mr. Vilas Nimborkar. The program was moderated by Mr. Upendra Rohankar and vote of thanks was given by Ms. Sudhatai Chaudhary. On this occasion, Vitthalrao Kothare, Purushottam Thackeray, Haridas Kotarange gave information about the pamphlet. Damodhar Upparwar, Sudhakar Dudhbaware, Ms. Jayashree Yerme, Mahananda Nimbokar and others were present.
