Gadchiroli Dec. 14 (District Correspondent) More than 5,000 Congress party workers along with farmers, women, youths of the district took part in the morcha taken out by the party on Nagpur Assembly recently.

The morcha was taken out under the leadership of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee, under the leadership of the state president Nana Patole, the opposition party leader No. Vijay Wadettiwar, Former Chief Minister Ashok Chavan, Prithviraj Chavan, Congress leader and MLA Balasaheb Thorat, MLA Nitin Raut, MLA Yasomati Thakur, MLA Sunil Kedar, MLA Pranititai Shinde, MLA Abhijit Vanjari, Congress leader Manikrao Thackeray, and other Congress MLAs and leaders

Many important issues like the settlement of wild elephants and man-eating tigers in Gadchiroli district, financial assistance to farmers damaged by unseasonal rains, crisis of Medigatta dam etc.

Under the leadership of District Congress President Mahendra Brahmanwade, Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary and Gadchiroli-Chimur Lok Sabha Coordinator Dr. Namdev Kirsan, Former MLA Anandrao Gedam, Youth Congress State Secretary Vishwajit Kowase, former ZP Vice President Manohar Patil Poretti, Women President Adv. Kavita Mohorkar, Kurkheda Taluka President Jeevan Nath, Armori Taluka President Milind Khobragade, Vasant Raut, Rajendra Bulle, Pramod Bhagat, Manoj Aggarwal, Abdul Hakim and others participated in this morcha.

Congress State President Nana Patole during his speech pointed out the problems of agriculture and farmers in Gadchiroli district along with the problems of wild elephants and tigers among other problems in the district demanding early solving of the problems.
