Gadchiroli Dec. 1 (District Correspondent) Home Minister of India Mr. Amit Shah is visiting Gadchiroli on 9th December 2023. This was informed by Mr. Ashok Nete, Member of Parliament from Gadchiroli -Chimur Lok Sabha in a press conference at the Govt. circuit House here this afternoon.
During this visit different development works and projects in Gadchiroli district will be inaugurated and dedicated to public by Mr. Shah. The minister will inaugurate the steel plant worth Rs. 400 crores at Konsari project in Chamorshim taluka. He will also lay the foundation stone of the Pallet Plant worth Rs. 3,000 crores at the Konsari Project, informed Mr. Nete.
Mr. Shah will perform the bhumipujan of the much-awaited 52.28-kilometre long Wadsa -Gadchiroli Railway Line, will dedicate the Chichdoh Barrages project in Chamorshi taluka to public. All these developmental projects have been completed due to the regular efforts and necessary follow up by me at the state and the central government, Nete pointed out.
A total of five irrigation barrages were sanctioned in the district of which Chichdoh Barrage has been completed, 60 percent construction of the Kotgal Barrage has been completed and the Kalamgaon, Dewalmari and Mullur Barrages are under construction, told Mr. Nete. The construction of bridge cum bandharas on 120 rivulets in the district have also been proposed. These irrigation projects will help the farmers in the district, he added.
The Nagbhid- Nagpur broad gauge railway line and the 136-kilometre long Gadchiroli-Dhanora-Bhanupratappur railway line also has been sanctioned, told the MP. The issue of load shedding in the district has been resolved by the state government. Now the farmers will get 12-hour power supply for their agricultural pumps, he told.
