Ajit Pawar visits Gadchiroli, attends public awareness meet.

Gadchiroli Dec. 17 (District correspondent) Dy. Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawr paid a visit to the district and attended various programmes organized by the police department. Food and Drugs Administration Minister Dharmarao Baba Atram was especially present with him during the tour.

Mr. Pawar inaugurated the administrative building of Police Station, Nargunda in Bhamragad taluka, a very remote village. He also addressed the public awareness meet organized under ‘Dadalora Khidki’ programme.

The utility material including spray pump, cricket kits, volleyball kits, bicycles, school material, saris, dhotis, utensils, blankets, bed sheets, sweaters etc were distributed to the needy people in the meet.

Addressing the meet, Mr. Pawar said that the state government is making all the necessary efforts for the development of the tribals. He appreciated the efforts being made by the police department and assured to [provide the necessary funds. He talked to the people and understood their problems, asked about their health and education facilities assuring them to solve those problems. The minister then inspected the barracks of the police, and SRPF and enquired about the working of the police station.

Mr. Pawar then visited the Surjagad Police Assistance Centre which was opened in 2022 and talked to the police jawans. He laid a wreath on the martyr’s memorial and the police head quarters and paid his respects to the martyred police jawans.

Mr. Dharmarao Baba Atram, Minister for Food and Drugs Administration was accompanying Mr. Pawar during this tour and talked to the villagers in their local language. He gave the information of the various government schemes to the people and appealed them to avail these schemes.

DIG Sandeep Patil, District Collector Sanjay Meena, SP Nilotpal, Additional SPs Kumar Chinta, Yatish Deshmukh, M. Ramesh, SDPO Bhamragad Bapurao Dadas were prominently present.

Mr. Bharat Nikalje conducted the programme and Mr. M. Ramesh proposed the vote of thanks. Mr. Babpurao Dadas, SDPO, Mr. Dhananjay Patil, Incharge of Civic Action Programme, Satish Bele, Incharge of Nargunda Police Station and other police officials took pains for the success of the programme.
