Samidha College of Civil Services observes ‘Constitution Day’.

Gadchiroli Nov. 28 (District Correspondent) ‘Constitution Day’ was celebrated with enthusiasm at Samidha College of Civil Services, Adapalli (Gogaon) run by Kimaya Bahu Uddeshiya Shikshan Mandal, Deshpur the other day.

Mr. Kalidas Raut, President of the Shikshan Mandal, presided over the programme. Prof. Rajan Borkar, Avinash Achla, Madhukar Rohankar  were prominently present.

Speaking on the occasion Prof. Borkar explained the features of the Constitution and also highlighted the basic provisions mentioned in it calling upon the students to study the Constitution and act accordingly.

Mr. Raut said in his presidential speech that Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar has a lion’s share in the creation of Indian Constitution and that is why he is considered as the main architect of the constitution. The high values of equality, fraternity and freedom are the basics of the constitution, he noted.

The other dignitaries also shared their views on the constitution of India. The program was moderated by Ms. Chitra Shende and vote of thanks was given by Akshani Marbhate. A large number of students, parents and teachers attended the programme.
