Gadchiroli March 26 (District Correspondent) Lloyds Mission for Global Skills & Entrepreneurship (LMGSE), an initiative by Lloyds Metals and Energy Limited, today announced the successful completion of its second training cohort, marking another milestone in its mission to build a skilled and future-ready workforce. As many as 255 students were successfully trained and immediately offered placements.

The event was graced by the august presence of CEO of Zilla Parishad Mr Suhas Gade, Managing Director of LMEL Mr B Prabhakaran, Resident Director, Himmat Singh, Executive Director, S Venkateshwaran and other dignitaries.

The program is delivered through specialized Centres of Excellence (CoEs) across key sectors such as Industrial and Applied Skills, Logistics and Driving, and Hospitality. These centres provide training in a wide range of job roles including welding, electrical work, warehouse operations, driving, food and beverage services, housekeeping, and retail, ensuring strong alignment with evolving industry requirements.

Since its launch on December 11, 2025, LMGSE has demonstrated strong outcomes. The first cohort achieved 100 percent placement, with 527 candidates successfully placed. Apprenticeship appointment letters are issued immediately upon completion of training, enabling a seamless transition from learning to employment.

While addressing the gathering, Mr. Suhas Gade lauded the efforts of LMGSE for training the youngsters of the district and making a skilled workforce.

Mr. B. Prabhakaran, said, this institute lays the foundation for a developed and prosperous future for Gadchiroli. We are committed to ensuring that the district produces not only educated individuals but also a highly skilled workforce. To date, Lloyds has trained over 2,000 skilled workers.

The development of Gadchiroli will be driven by the development of its people. Our vision is not just to replicate existing industrial models, but to create a ‘new Jamshedpur’ rooted in local empowerment and a circular economy, he added.

Mr. Prabhakaran further announced plans to establish an advanced driving school, which will also train women to operate a wide range of vehicles. As part of this initiative, specially designed vehicles equipped with toilet facilities will be introduced to support women drivers.
