Gadchiroli Oct. 30 (District Correspondent) Against the backdrop of the paddy crops getting damaged due to unseasonal rains, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP SP) district president Atul Ganyarpawar has also demanded early financial assistance of Rs. 50,000 per acre to the farmers affected by the crop damage.

In a statement released here Mr. Ganyarpawar has said that farming is the only source of livelihood of the farmers of the district. However, they have become quite helpless and facing utter financial crisis as their paddy crops have totally washed away due to unseasonal rains. The vegetable growers also have suffered a huge loss due to rains, he pointed out.

The NCP will launch an intensive agitation if the farmers are not given immediate financial assistance, he has warned.

The government should conduct immediate panchanamas and provide financial assistance of Rs. 50,000 per acre, he has demanded. The other office bearers of the NCP Adv. Sanjay Thakre, Naeem Sheikh, Shemdev Chafle, Sanjay shrungarpawar, Premanand Mallick, Amol Ganyarpawar, Narendra juware, Karan Ganyarpawar and many others have joined Mr. Ganyarpawar in raising this demand.
