Gadchiroli Oct. 13 (District Correspondent) Various political parties and social organizations held a strong protest at Indira Gandhi Chowk here this afternoon to protest against the attack on Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Just. Bhushan Gavai and arrest of social activist Sonam Wangchuk.

Activists of various organizations gathered at Indira Gandhi Chowk of the city and raised intensive slogans about their demands and the government’s neglect on them, drawing the attention of the government. After that, a delegation of agitating activists met Resident Deputy Collector Sunil Suryavanshi and submitted him a memorandum addressed to the President of India and the governor of Maharashtra.

The major demands in this memorandum included strict action should be taken against the person who attacked Supreme Court Chief Justice Bhushan Gavai. Famous social activist Sonam Wangchuk should be released immediately, and his demand for Ladakh’s inclusion in the 6th schedule should be fulfilled. The Maharashtra government’s proposal regarding tribal land transfer should be cancelled immediately, the posts of the presidents of the Nagar Panchayats in the Pesa area of ​​Gadchiroli district should be reserved for the Scheduled Tribes, and the injustice done to the tribal community should be removed.

Well known tribal activist Devaji Tofa, Republican Party district president Hansraj Undirwade,  Devrao Chavde of the Communist Party, Milind Bambode of BRSP, Madhav Gawad of the Tribal Employees Federation, Tularam Raut, Prof. Gautam Dange of the Buddhist Society of India, Vilas Nimborkar of Maha Anis, Prof. Prakash Dudhe, Keshavrao Samrutwar, Pradeep Bhaisare, Pralhad Raipure of the Republican Party,  Bharat Yereme Sadanand Taram of the Employees Federation,  Sukhdev Wethe of Gurudev Seva Mandal, tribal youth activist Sonu Alam, Surekha Barsagade Neeta Sahare, Ankita Dhakade, Jyoti Undirwade Vanmala Zade, Kalpana Ramteke of the Republican Women’s Front, Dr. Hundreds of activists from various political parties and social organizations including Sumitra Raut, Jyoti Urade, Manisha Walke, of Visakha Mahila Mandal, senior activists Narendra Raipure, Ashok Khobragade, Sukhdev Wasnik, Siddhart Gowardhan, Dadaji Dhakde, youth activists Rahul Meshram, Rohit Gaikwad, Bandu Khobragade and hundreds of other activists participated in the agitation.
