
Gadchiroli Oct. 11 (District Correspondent) Various activities were organized by
Mahila Mahavidyalaya to celebrate the death anniversary of its founder and well-
known educationist Prin. Rameshchandra Munghate the other day.
The programmes like rangoli competition, poster competition, book exhibition
were held in the three-day programs. Also, ration and fruits were distributed to the
inmates of Matoshree Old Age Home.
Late Mr. Munghate was the first to plant the foundation stone of female
education in backward areas of Gadchiroli. He invited musician Pandit Hridaynath
Mangeshkar, Ghazal Samrat Suresh Bhat, Sapta Khanjirawadak Satyapal Maharaj, as
well as Panchale, Ghazalkar Bhimrao Panchale, said Dr. Nandaji Satpute while paying
his tributes.
Dr. Pramod Bodhane said the institution started in 1986, has now grown into a big
tree. Recalling his memories, the principal of the college, Dr. Yogesh Patil, paid
tribute to him. Mr. Munghate kept the river of social, literary, cultural, political and
educational development flowing continuously. In his all-round personality, qualities
like love of education, and environmental perspective are worth admiring, he
added.
A Rangoli competition on the topic of the competition was 'Save Daughter, Teach
Daughter' and 'Women Empowerment'. Ms. Vaishnavi Pusam and Rajkumari Baghel
won the first and the second place. The topic of the poster competition was
'Environmental Protection' in which Manju Surpam won the first place and
Najmusba Syed won the second place.
Dr. Kundan Dufare conducted the programme. Dr. Pragya Tripathi, Dr. Jyotsna Raut,
Prof. Gayatri Gurav, Prof. Vivek Mjelwar, Prof. Sainath Kodjaware, Prof. Darshana
Khewle, Prof. Kirti Pullakwar, Prof. Shekhar Gadsulwar, Prof. Rupesh Borkar, Prof.
Megha Bhaskarwar, Prof. Rupa Sav, Prof. Mandavkar, Prof. Vilas Parkhi, Prof. Pratap
Shende, Prof. Dnyaneshwar Dhakate, Prof. Veena Tumbde, Madhubhau Dhanorkar,
Lata Vailkar as well as students of the college were present.
