Gadchiroli Sept. 3 (District Correspondent) In the wake of heavy rains, rising water levels, and the release of water from Koyna dam, several villages in Satara district have been severely impacted, with families displaced and struggling with essentials. Standing by the people in this time of crisis, Lloyds Infinite Foundation (LIF), the CSR arm of Lloyds Metals and Energy Limited, has stepped in with on-ground relief efforts.

Since August 25, the LIF team has prepared over 3,000 essential relief kits to support the affected families in Patan taluka of Satara district. Each kit has been carefully put together to include immediate necessities such as blankets, rice, oil, dal, atta, spices, soap, toothpaste, and drinking water cans. These essentials aim to provide the much-needed support to families that have lost access to basic supplies due to flood.

As of September 1, a total of 2,546 crates packed in 12 trucks have been dispatched from Nagpur to Patan taluka in Satara, ensuring that relief material reaches the flood-hit regions swiftly. The CSR team from Lloyds Metals at Konsari is working hand-in-hand with the local administration and officials in Satara district to ensure timely distribution and delivery of the relief material to the affected people.

Speaking about the initiative, a representative from LIF said, “Our priority is to stand by the people in their most difficult times. This is a small step to support families in Satara, and our teams will continue to provide on-ground assistance wherever needed.”

Lloyds Infinite Foundation has always focussed on people’s welfare during critical situations and remains committed to supporting communities with compassion and responsibility, he added.
