Gadchiroli Aug. 25 (District Correspondent) A free health check-up camp was organized by the Gadchiroli Police Force at Police Station Wadsa recently in association with Rotary Club Nagpur, Health Department and the State Reserve Police Force.

During the monsoon season, the incidence of diseases spread due to changing weather conditions and contaminated food is high. On this background, to create awareness among the citizens and providing various health check-ups and medicines, the health camp was organized under the guidance of SP Mr. Nilotpal. In this camp, renowned cardiologists, gynaecologists, paediatricians, ear, nose and throat specialists, dentists, ophthalmologists, medical officers specializing in other diseases, as well as medical officers of Sawangi PHC provided necessary services.

The camp was inaugurated by Armori MLA Ramdas Masram. Around 547 citizens were examined for various diseases and medicines were provided to the citizens as per the requirement. Also, a total of 41 citizens were recommended for surgery at various hospitals as per the requirement, a total of 31 citizens were recommended to specialist medical officers for infertility treatment.

Along with this, eyes of 125 citizens were examined and glasses were distributed to them. From 2021 till date, a total of 37,770 citizens has been examined through a total of 152 health fairs by the Gadchiroli Police Force. Also, a total of 3,119 units of blood have been collected through a total of 5 blood donation camps. Also, a total of 8,498 citizens has been examined and 1,144 cataract surgeries were performed free of cost through Operation Roshni.

The camp was organized by SP Gadchiroli Mr. Nilotpal, Commandent of CRPF Group No. 13 Ms. Bhagyashree Navtake, Additional SP (Campaign) M. Ramesh, Additional SP (Administration) Gokul Raj G., SDPO Kurkheda Ravindra Bhosale, Assistant Commandants Lalit Mishra, Lambewar, Officer-in-Charge of Desaiganj Ajay Jagtap, API Manish Godbole, PSI Dekar and others.
