Gadchiroli July 26 (District Correspondent) Ekalavya Tribal and Rural Development Foundation, Gadchiroli distributed school supplies to the students in remote tribal village of Zilla Parishad Upper Primary School, Tatigudam recently.

The school supplies such as school bags, notebooks, plates, pens, pencils, sharpeners, erasers, scales, etc. were distributed to the 118 students. This initiative was implemented with the financial support of Mr. Sanjay Thorat, Mumbai; Jitendra Pali, Indore and Patanjali Ayurvedic Dispensary, Gadchiroli.

On this occasion, the Vice President of the Foundation, Laxman Kodape, Secretary Ritu Kove, Foundation members Shobha Gedam and Pooja Warkhade, School Principal Sheikh Sir and the teaching staff of the school were present.

This foundation located in Gadchiroli is a charitable organization and has been working for the health and education of the people of the remote tribal areas of the district for the last many years. Mr. Ganesh Kove is the founder president of this Foundation. He has established this voluntary organization by resigning from his class 1 job as a BDO in the state government service for social work.

Staying away from the limelight, he is doing his social service work very diligently and continuously. By organizing health check-up camps in remote tribal villages, the poor people are provided free health check-up and completely free medicine and this work has been going on for many years.

They take expert doctors and medical teams from Gadchiroli and go to remote villages and organize health camps there. Ms. Ritu Kove is providing valuable support in this social service work. Overcoming many difficulties, the Kove couple have dedicated themselves to the service of the tribals of Gadchiroli.
