Gadchiroli June 5 (District Correspondent) To mark the World Bicycle Day, Gadchiroli Police Force organized a bicycle rally in the city recently.

The rally started from Police Ground Gadchiroli and proceeded to Indira Gandhi Chowk. In this bicycle rally, Superintendent of Police Mr. Nilotpal, Additional SP (Administration) M. Ramesh, DySP (Campaign) Vishal Nagargoje participated prominently. The bicycle rally finally was concluded at Shahid Pandu Alam Hall in the police headquarters.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Nilotpal, said that cycling improves our health and also protects the environment to a large extent. Cycling for at least two days a week, even for an hour, improves our physical and mental health and makes us aware of our physical fitness. He encouraged everyone by personally riding a bicycle and appealed to everyone to use bicycles in their routine and wished them on World Bicycle Day.

Mr. Nilotpal presented certificates of participation to all the participating cyclists from the police force. The program was concluded by serving refreshments to all the participants.

The Head of the Civil Action Branch Chandrakant Shelke and all the police officers as well as officers of all the branches worked tirelessly for the success of the program. Besides the police officers and employees, senior citizens, youths and students participated enthusiastically in the bicycle rally.
