Gadchiroli Feb. 9 (District Correspondent) The Congress Party workers staged demonstrations at Indira Gandhi square of the city on Sunday to protest against US government act of sending Indian immigrants back to India in shackles by the Air Force plane.

A large number of workers assembled at the square under the leadership of District Congress Committee chief Mahendra Bramhanwade and shouted intensive slogans against the American administration for its inhuman act as well as they registered their protest against the Indian government for its inaction over the issue.

The act of American government towards the Indian immigrants is very much inhuman, said Mr. Bramhanwade while speaking during the agitation. While the Indian people were being treated in such an inhumane manner at the global level, the Indian government and its ministers were silent on this, he criticised. In protest against the government’s failure to take any firm stand against the US government and the inaction of the Modi government, a protest was organized, he said.

On this occasion, Maharashtra Pradesh Youth Congress State Secretary Adv. Vishwajit Kovase, City President Satish Vidhate, Taluka Presidents Vasant Raut (Gadchiroli), Milind Khobragade (Armori), Pramod Bhagat, (Chamorshi), Prashant Koram, Dr. Pappu Hakim, Youth Congress President Nitesh Rathod, Scheduled Caste Cell President Rajnikant Motghare, Transport Cell President Rupesh Tikle, Ghanshyam Wadhai, Mustaq Hakim, Netaji Gavature, Anil Kothare, Prabhakar Wasekar, Dilip Ghodam, former Z. P. Member Kavita Bhagat and many other Congress workers and office bearers participated in the agitation.
