Gadchiroli Jan. 13 (District Correspondent) ‘Having everything does not mean that you are happy. Even if we have all the things to live a life, we often continue to complain because we are badly involved in competition, hatred, enmity, partiality etc. If you have to be really happy, abandon these things and enjoy the life in real sense and live it fully’, said noted speaker Dr. Sanjay Kalamkar while delivering a lecture at Sanskruti Sabhagriha here on Sunday evening.

Kamal -Govind Smruti Pratisthan had organized this lecture in memory of Dandakarnaya Sanstha founder Govindrao Munghate and Kamaltai Munghate. ‘Jagnyatil Anandachya Wata’ was the topic of his lecture.

In his one and half hour-long lecture Dr. Kalamkar gave several examples of the human life style and reminded the audience how the life was happy in olden days even though there were no much modern facilities and technological inventions and kept the audience laughing.

Dr. Kalamkar said we are searching joy in unwanted things. The birth anniversaries of great men are celebrated by dancing on the tunes of DJ by spending lakhs of rupees but we don’t have books in our homes. If we don’t read books, from where good values will come, he asked. Even though there was a black and white TV, there was a joy in watching it, but now we just go on changing the channels with remote and get bored. The use of mobile phones has become so vast that we are forgetting the relations and keep ourselves busy in just watching these mobile phones, he reminded.

Education is being ignored now. Teachers have to perform several non-academic duties. Parents just think about the marks their children have scored. A new marks-ism has now started, he stated.

Real happiness is around us; we have to just change our vision because we see as we think. We remain sad because we don’t know the love between each other. So, live a healthy life as your vision needs to be positive for getting joy, Dr. Kalamkar advised.

Always think that your sorrow is very small than that of others. Think that ‘my sorrow is nothing before the other man’s.  Whatever joy you see in your progress, search it in other’s joy too. Our joy is in our hands. Keep your mind happy, keep away negative things from you. Behave as if all the things give us joy and live a joyful life, Dr. Kalamkar appealed.

Dr. Kalamkar mentioned the late Govindrao Munghate as ‘Guruji’ and recalled his contribution in academic and literary field. He appreciated the Sanstha for continuing his work further.

Mr. Marotrao Kowase, former MP, Padmashree Dr. Parshuram Khune, Pro VC Dr. Shriram Kawle, litterateur Dr. Pramod Munghate were also present at the programme.

Prin. Dr. Rajabhau Munghate, President of Dandakaranya Shikshan Sanstha welcomed the guests. Mr. Anil Munghate made an introductory speech.  Dr. Narendra Arekar conducted the programme and also proposed the vote of thanks. A large number of people attended the programme.
