9 health institutes in Gadchiroli get Kayakalp prizes.

Gadchiroli Oct. 3 (District Correspondent) As many as 9 health institutions in the district of Gadchiroli has received State level awards under state government’s Kayakalp scheme.

The award money includes a total of Rs. 10 lakhs ranging between Rs. 50,000 to 3 lakhs. Rejuvenation program focuses on strengthening the health centres and increasing the quality of services, told Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Ayushi Singh.

The Central Government has launched the Kayakalp scheme since 2015 to strengthen the health services in government hospitals and improve the quality of medical care.

The quality and convenience of health care provided by the government, excellent service, cleaning of external premises, disinfection, bed cleaning, use of available equipment, efficiency of officers and employees, patient care, biomedical solid and liquid waste disposal, drinking water supply and water conservation, sewage treatment are covered under the scheme.

Health institutions are eligible for awards under Kayakalpa scheme by fixing points. 1st Prize of Rs. 2 lakhs has been given to Primary Health Centre, Tekdatala in sironcha taluka. Primary Health Centres of Malewada, Permili, Allapalli and Bodli will receive an incentive prize of Rs 50,000 each. A prize of Rs.3 lakh to Women and Child Hospital, Rs. 1 lakh each to Sub district Hospital, Armori, Rural Hospital Chamorshi and Wadsa.

From this prize money more facilities will be provided to the health institutes told District Health Officer Dr. By Pratap Shinde. Dr. Sachin Madavi and Dr. Dheeraj Khobragade have been appreciated for getting the first award to Tekdatala PHC.

Chief Executive Officer Ayushi Singh, District Surgeon Dr. Madhuri Kilnake and District Health Officer Dr. Pratap Shinde gave the necessary guidance to the health centers.
