Mantayya Bedke of Etapalli gets National Teacher Award.

Gadchiroli Aug. 28 (District Correspondent) Mr. Mantaiya Bedke, a teacher of Zilla Parishad Higher Primary School at Jajavandi in Etapalli taluka, has been selected for the National Teacher Award.

According to the information received, Mr. Bedke has been selected for his outstanding services in remote and sensitive areas of the district of Gadchiroli. The department of School Education and Literacy, government of India has communicated this to Mr. Bedke.

Mr. Bedke imparted playful education to the students and made them attend the school with joy which raised the attendance of the school in the remote areas alarmingly.

A few years back, Mr. Khurshid sheikh, a teacher from Asarali school in Sironcha taluka had also received this prestigious award.

This national award has been announced to two teachers from Maharashtra, and Mr. Bedke is one of them. Mr. Bedke will be honoured with a silver medal, certificate of merit and a cash prize of 50,000 in a program to be organized at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi on September 5.

District Collector Sanjay Daine, Zilla Parishad CEO Ayushi Singh and Education Officer Babasaheb Pawar, Principal of District Education and Training Institute Dhananjay Chafle have congratulated Mr. Bedke on this prestigious achievement.
