Gadchiroli Aug. 14 (District Correspondent) Thousands of workers from the district will participate in a grand public rally going to be held on 20 August 2024 at BKC Maidan, Mumbai.
This was resolved in a district meeting of the Congress Party held here the other day under the chairmanship of District President Mahendra Brahmanwade. The rally is being organized by Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee to mark the birth anniversary of former Prime minister Rajiv Gandhi.
Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi along with Congress leaders in the country and the state will be present in this grand meeting.
A detailed discussion was held in the meeting about the planning to attend this mega rally and it was decided that thousands of workers from the district of Gadchiroli will participate in it. Mr. Bramhanwade gave the details of the rally and the preparations. This rally is quite important on the background of the forthcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections, he said.
Former MP Marotrao Kowase, former MLA Anandrao Gedam, city president Satish Vidhate, women’s district president Kavita Moharkar, former ZP chief Ajay Kankadlawar, former ZP Vice President Manohar Portti, Jeevan Patil Naat, senior leader Saguna Talandi, Youth Congress State Secretary Vishwajit Kowase, State Secretary Atul Mallelwar, Prabhakar Wasekar, Pushpalata Kumre, Shankarrao Salotkar, Anil Kothare, Abdul Panjwani, Hanumant Madavi, Chhagan Shedmake, Wamanrao Savasakde, Rajnikant Motghare, Bharat Yerme, Dr. Sonal Kovey, Ramdas Masram, Dr. Shilutai Chimurkar, Taluka Presidents Milind Khobragade, Pramod Bhagat, Prashant Koram, Rajendra Bulle, Manoj Aggarwal and many other Congress office bearers attended the meeting.
