Gadchiroli Sept. 5 (District Correspondent) Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan’s birth anniversary was celebrated as ‘Teacher’s Day’ by the National Service Scheme and Cultural Department of Mohsinbhai Javeri College, Desaiganj by organizing various activities.
Executive Principal of the College Dr. Sunil Chaudhary presided over the programme. The students of the college played the role of teachers and gave lessons on self-governance and self-education to the students. They also handled the administration of the college for the day.
Rohit Dighore worked as the principal and Ms. Farana Ansari, Ms. Lakshmi Atmande, Suruchi Bhandarkar, Mrinali Gajbhiye, Om Guru, Nikita Kamble, Aniket Lowane, Payal Ramteke, Kimya Radhanye, Anushka Shingade worked as the teachers. Prajwal Pillawan worked as Head of Sports while Sohil Sonule worked as Head of Library. Arvind Gaikwad looked after the work of Library Assistant and Sawan Bankar worked as the Clerk. Cooperation Anirudh Chawre, Ms. Saloni Meshram conducted the programme, and Payal Ramteke expressed vote of thanks. The staff and students of the college worked for the success of the program.
GONDWANA SAINIKI VIDYALAYA
Teacher’s Day was also celebrated Gondwana Sainiki Vidyalaya here today to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
The program was presided over by the school principal Sanjiv Gosavi while vice principal Omprakash Sangrame and the supervisor Ajay Wankhede were the chief guests.
On the occasion portrait of Dr. Radhakrishnan was garlanded at the hands of Mr. Gosawi. Mr. Sangrame, Wankhede and Rakesh Chadgulwar threw light on the life of Dr. Radhakrishnan.
They also wished the students a Happy Teacher’s Day by saying that one can definitely learn something from the teachers and achieve progress in their life.
On the occasion, all the teachers and non-teaching staff of the school were honored by giving flowers and gifts on behalf of the NCC students of the school. Prof. Rahim Patel conducted the program and Gajanan Dhole proposed the vote of thanks.
