Gadchiroli Dec. 13 (District Correspondent) Krishidarshan Tour organized jointly by the Gadchiroli district Police Force and Integrated Tribal Development Project was flagged off recently by Mr. Nilotpal, SP.
This is the eleventh batch of the tour in which as many as 50 farmers from Pendhari, Karwafa, Katezri, Gyarapatti, Murumgaon, Katezri, Kotgul, Korchi, Regdi, Purada Pomken Chatgaon, Savargaon, Godalwahi, Gatta (Fu.), Bedgaon, Malewada and Potegaon police station areas have participated.
Farmers of Gadchiroli district are farming in traditional way. As the income from agriculture is meagre, their economic development is hindered and it is difficult for them to enter the mainstream of the society. The farmers of the district will go out of the district, avoid traditional farming and use various methods of modern farming, they will go to the farms and inspect the modern agriculture and equipment and use that knowledge to change the traditional farming system. The aim of the tour is to ensure economic progress of farmers in the district.
A total of 460 women and men farmers from various sub-divisions of remote areas have registered their participation in the previous ten agricultural sighting trips and study tours so far. In this eleventh trip, 50 farmers from remote areas of Kurkheda, Dhanora, Pendhari, Gadchiroli sub-division limits have registered their participation.
During this trip, the participating farmers will visit Agricultural Science Centers at Warora, Wardha, Ghatkhed, Badnera, Akola, Shegaon, Jalgaon, Aurangabad, Washim and various agricultural fields. Similarly, they will get to know the latest and advanced technology of agriculture. Due to this, they will use the experience of advanced technology in their agricultural business to achieve economic advancement and raise their standard of living, thus they will contribute to the development of the district, hoped Mr. Nilotpal.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration) Kumar Chinta, Yatish Deshmukh were also present. All Sub-Divisional Police Officers, Officer-in-Charge of all Police stations, Sub-Police Stations, Armed Out Posts as well as Officer-in-Charge of Civil Action Branch are also involved for the success of the programme along with Mr. Dhananjay Patil, Chandrakant Shelke and others worked tirelessly for this tour.
