Gadchiroli Dec. 6 (District Correspondent) ‘Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar is a real role model and ideal for the students. He is rightly called the symbol of knowledge. The renowned Columbia University in the United States has honored this great leader by taking the cognizance of his intellect and has installed his bust in its library which is a matter of pride for every Indian. The students should therefore take inspiration from Dr. Ambedkar and pursue their higher studies and work for the society’.
This was stated by Mr. Rohidas Raut, senior journalist while speaking at the ‘Mahaparinirvan Din’ of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar at Samidha College of Civil Services here.
Mr. Hansraj Undirwade, President of Samyak Samaj Samiti, Kawduji Undirwade, President of Samyak Senior citizens Association, Prof. Nitin Naitam were prominently present.
At the outset, a portrait of Dr. Ambedkar was garlanded and candle was lighted and two minutes silence was observed in respect to pay homage to the great leader.
Speaking further, Mr. Raut said the role of Dr. Ambedkar is not limited as the architect of the constitution or the emancipator of Dalits. His life is a live example of how one can obtain knowledge through education and utilize it for the welfare of the masses. Babasaheb obtained high degrees from the world class foreign Universities by his intellect and hard work. This is really a inspiring thing for the students.
Civil Services education is important for the administrative services. The students should acquire this education and develop their career, Raut advised and extended his best wishes to the students.
