World needs Buddhism for peace and social harmony says Bhante Dnyan Jyoti.

Gadchiroli Aug. 25 (District Correspondent) Buddhism teaches the way of human welfare and the world today needs this philosophy for peace and brotherhood, said Bhante Dnyan Jyoti Mahasthaveer, noted Buddhst monk while delivering a ‘Dhamma Desana’ here the other day.

Prabuddha Buddha Vihar, Shahu Nagar had organized this programme under its ‘Varshawas’ celebrations. Bhate Buddha Jyoti, Bhante Yashvardhan, Bhante B. Dhamma, Bhante Agjyoti, Bhante Mahenar Jyoti were present on the occasion.

Referring to the ongoing war between two countries and strained relations between many other countries, Bhante Dnyan Jyoti further said the society today needs not wars and hatred but love and harmony among the societies. This can be achieved through the principles of Buddhism, he stated.

India has the super model of Constitution that guarantees equality and fraternity, secularism and democracy. These values have been derived from Buddhism and need to be followed for the betterment of the society, Bhanteji mentioned further during his discourse.

At the outset a huge procession was taken out from Sanvidhan Chouk to Prabuddha Buddha Vihara amidst the chanting of Buddham Sarnam Gachhami- Dhamman Sarnam Gachhami led by Bhante Dnyanjyoti. Many Bhikkus and hundreds of citizens wearing white clothes participated in the procession that culminated into a public discourse in the premises of Buddha Vihara.

Mr. Balkrishna Bambode, Amarkumar Khandare, Tularam Raut, Gautam Meshram, Ramchandra Bhanarkar were prominently present besides large number of people. The workers of Prabuddha Buddha Vihara, Ramai Mahila Mandal took pains for the success of the programme.
