Gadchiroli Jan. 25 (District Correspondent) A digital media workshop was organized for media representatives of the city at Sanvidhan Sabhagriha here the other day. Mr. Deonath Gandate, digital media expert and senior journalist was the main guide for this workshop.

Guiding the participants Mr. Gandate gave detailed information on various important topics and technical guidance related to digital media. This included how to write news for digital media, what exactly is SEO, how digital marketing is done, techniques of online traffic, keywords for news etc.

Mr. Gandate who is also the executive members of the Digital Media Publisher and News Portal Grievances Council of India, also gave in-depth guidance on changing media, changes due to mobile, beat wise online journalism and blogging, online employment opportunities and income tools, how to use keywords in news, differences in online traffic and differences between social media and digital media, website creation techniques and future journalism.

On this occasion Mr. Gandate said that if there is no proper information and knowledge of digital media, today’s journalists will lag behind. Those who are tech savvy are creating employment opportunities. It is proved with examples that if technology is added to the writing, it is possible to generate income from web portals as well, he added.  He also gave the information about Digital Media Act and how to register.

Mr. Gandate, who has been working in journalism for the last 20 years, is publishing a book “Digital Media Opportunities and Challenges” soon. On this occasion, digital media journalists from Gadchiroli were felicitated with bouquets. Mr. Pritam Madavi informed about the coming media platform My Khabar 24 and the employment opportunities in the digital media.

Adv. Manish Kasarlawar made an introductory speech and gave details of the workshop. The program was moderated by Shrimant Surapam. Mr. Dharmanand Meshram made the hall available for the workshop. Mr. Jayant Nimgade, Praveen channawar, Kishor Kheole, Krishna shende, Milind Khond and many other journalists attended the workshop.
