Gadchiroli Nov. 1 (District Correspondent) Lions Eye Centre Sewagram, Lions Club Chandrapur, Agriculture Produce Market Committee and Sale Purchase Federation, Chamorshi and Ganyarpawar Foundation, Chamorshi had jointly organized cataract and eye check-up camp at APMC Hall, Chamorshi recently.

Mr. Atul Ganyarpawar, Chairman of Sale Purchase Federation and former Chairman of Zilla Parishad took the initiative for this camp. As many as 430 patients were examined in this camp by Dr. Ajay Shukla, Dr. Sumit Taksande, Dr. Azahar of the Medical college, Sewagaram. Out of them, 153 patients became eligible for the eye surgeries who were sent to the Sewagram Medical college for surgeries by the organizers.

The arrangements of transportation and meals of the patients and their relatives was made by the organizers. Mr. Atul Ganyarpawar has been organizing such camps for the last many years with the cooperation of his friends. So far surgeries of more than 1,000 patients have been conducted in such camps. The needy patients were distributed spectacles free of cost.

Dy. Chairman of APMC Premanand Mallick, Trishul Bamb, Ms. Lata Verma, of Mahaveer international, Dilip Bhandari, Nirmal Bhandari, Aniket Jain of the Lions Club, Chandrapur, Amol Ganyarpawar, member of Nagar Panchayat were prominently present on the occasion.

The officials of APMC, Sale Purchase Federation, teachers and staff and students of Sharadchandra Pawar Mahavidyalaya, Disneyland English Medium School, Soniya Gandhi Vidyalaya, Chamorshi, Mahatma Gandhi Vidyalaya, Ghot and others took pains for the success of the camp under the guidance of Mr. Atul Ganyarpawar.
