A chit left behind by the naxals

Gadchiroli Nov. 16 (District Correspondent) The Naxalites killed a youth at village Pengunda in Bhamragad taluka last night suspecting him to be a police informer. The incident came to light this morning.

Dinesh Pusu Gawde (27) is the name of the deceased youth. After killing the youth, the outlaws left a handwritten letter near his body in which they have mentioned the youth to be a police informer.

According to reports, Dinesh had gone to village Pengunda from Laheri on nov. 15 to attend the sports meet. The naxals killed him with sharp weapon. The injuries were seen on his face and other parts of body. The Naxalites, later on put a chit written with blue ball pen on his body and two pieces of stone on that chit.

The chit has mentioned the youth as the police informer. The police have sent the body to Bhamragad for postmortem. It is the first incident of a civilian’s murder by the naxals in the past few months. It should be mentioned that the chief Minister Eknath Shinde had visited a remote tribal village Pipli burgi in Etapalli taluka yesterday itself. On the same night of his visit, Naxalites killed a youth and have showed their presence once again after a long gap.
