Gadchiroli Oct. 12 (District Correspondent) A cycle rally was taken out by the Zilla Parishad as a part of Amrit Kalash Yatra recently in the city under Meri Mati Mera Desh programme.
The rally started from Indira Gandhi square of the city and proceeded to the Zilla Parishad head quarters in complex area. Ms. Ayushi Singh, CEO of Zilla Parishad led the rally. Mr. Rajendra Bhuyar, Dy. CEO, Rajkumar nikam, Education Officer were also prominently present.
The CEO and all the officers of Zilla Parishad personally drove bicycles during the rally and completed the distance of around 5 kilometers. Dy. CEO Raindra Kanse carried the Amrut Kalash in his hands throughout the rally. The patriotic slogans were shouted by the students who participated in the rally.
The rally was concluded in the premises of Zilla Parishad. Mr. Prashant Karemore, Executive of the VSTF and others took pains for the success of the rally that was largely attended by the Zilla Parishad officials and students from different schools.
Amrut Kalash yatras are being taken out in the country under Meri Mati Mera Desh initiative and this bicycle rally was a part of the initiative. Zilla Parishad has planned such rallies throughout the district under Meri Mati Mera Desh programme to commemorate the 75 th year of Indian Independence.
